Free Range Farms Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Food Concepts Plc. The company is currently in the first phase of developing an integrated poultry farm comprising broiler houses, processing plant, feed mill and hatchery. Free Range Farms will have an initial processing capacity of 50,000 birds per week and intends to expand production to 200,000 birds per week by 2014. To achieve this, we have completed the acquisition of approximately 700 hectares of farm land in Ogun and Oyo state and are presently concluding the purchase of a further 300 hectares in Oyo State.

Our integrated poultry farm will initially focus on meeting the growing demands of Chicken Republic stores, whilst ensuring product quality and reliable availability. Free Range Farms will create the opportunity for Chicken Republic to streamline and centralise marinating and chicken cut-up processes. This in order to save time and provide higher levels of product consistency.

Free Range Farms will also enable Chicken Republic to extend its product range to include chicken nuggets, chicken popcorn, chicken strips, and so on, while maintaining more competitive pricing.

In the final phase of development, Free Range Farms will be processing 24 million birds a year. Our aim is to sell and distribute processed and further processed poultry products to other restaurants, hotels, schools, airlines, catering companies and supermarket chains. Our vision is to be the largest supplier of quality poultry products in Nigeria.
